Simply
stated, Kingfisher Bend Ranch is an angler’s paradise. The Ranch
features more than two private, seldom-fished miles of the Bear
River which meanders through the heart of the Ranch.
Guests
can wade fish in the Bear River for native cutthroats, browns rainbows,
and an occasional brook trout. Every year trout over 20 inches are landed (and
released) on the Ranch's stretch of the Bear River. Guests may
also fish from shore or from our rowboat on the Ranch's 1.5 acre
stocked fish pond. Fishing on either the pond or the river is an
excellent opportunity to enjoy nature with family and friends, or to be
alone in solitude (except for the resident mule deer, beavers, owls,
eagles, kingfishers, moose etc.).
Kingfisher
Bend Ranch Fishing Rules:

No
fishing license is required to fish the pond.

A
Wyoming fishing license is required to fish the Bear River except youth
under 14 do not need a license if they are accompanied by an adult with
a Wyoming fishing license.

Fishing
in the river is legal year-round, but ice makes winter fishing
difficult and high flows make fishing problematic from mid-May to early
July

All
fishing is to be with barbless flies. Fishing with bait,
spinners, or lures is not allowed anywhere on the Ranch.

A
spinning rod and reel with a plastic bubble and fly is allowed and
effective on the pond.

ALL
trout caught on the river must be promptly and carefully released.
Whitefish may be kept.

Guests
may keep one or two fish caught in the pond if they will be
