Snow normally starts flying in November with the snow pack arriving in mid to late December. The Ranch is normally closed from mid-November to May 1st, but, by special arrangement, it can be opened during winter. Guests can enjoy many winter activities at Kingfisher Bend Ranch. Adventurous types can go on snowmobile tours into the surrounding mountains; athletic types can explore the Ranch on cross country skis or snowshoes; and rambunctious types and children can sled on our sledding hills. Not to mention all the hours that can be spent building snow forts, building snowmen, and battling it out in snowball fights.

Four snowmobiles are available for rent at the Ranch or you may bring your own. Tours around the Ranch and into the mountains on Ranch snowmobiles are accompanied by the Ranch manager. Snowmobile helmets, cross country skis, boots and poles as well as snowshoes and sleds are available free to our guests.  Guest need to provide their own snowmobile clothing other than helmets.
